The Secondary College of Languages will continue with online learning until 28 August, following the Premier’s announcement regarding ongoing restrictions for Greater Sydney.
The Secondary College of Languages is still working through all the NSW Health and Department of Education advice on what that will mean for our College, given that our students come from many Local Government Areas (LGAs). We will be developing a plan regarding the best way to bring our students back to our Campuses, and also regarding how we will conduct our HSC Trial examinations. Students will be notified as soon as we have some definite answers. Please be assured that we have every student at the centre of our work and are always doing our best to support them and maximise their learning.
NESA has revised the dates for the HSC Oral examinations. Some languages exams are still being held on the original scheduled dates and some have changed. Students’ personal exam timetables for the oral and written exams will be updated in Schools Online and Students Online by 12pm on 30 July. NESA has scheduled venues, dates and times for students based on NSW Health advice. Students and schools will not be able to choose dates or times for exams. We encourage your child to go to the NESA website to download their timetable.
Years 7-11 Assessments will proceed online this term – assessment schedules and notifications will be issued to students by their teachers. If there are technical issues, we must be notified immediately, and it may be possible to allow students to re-sit the assessment.
If you or your child have any questions or concerns, please contact your Campus directly by phone on Saturday morning. Students should also email their class teachers if they have any concerns.
