Wellbeing

At our College, student wellbeing and learning go hand in hand. We want every student to feel safe, included and confident while studying their chosen language. Our aim is to create a welcoming and respectful environment across all Campuses where students can connect with others, celebrate culture and diversity, and achieve their personal best.

Whether your child needs help with their mental, emotional, social or physical wellbeing, we are here to help them thrive at school and in daily life.

How we support student wellbeing

Because SCL students attend classes in parallel with their home school, wellbeing needs are supported in partnership with their weekday school’s wellbeing team.

School behaviour support and management plan

Our College also has a school behaviour support and management plan (SBSMP). The SBSMP helps us maintain a safe, respectful and supportive learning environment for every student. It sets clear expectations for behaviour, attendance and digital conduct across all SCL Campuses. This plan also explains how we respond to bullying and cyberbullying, and how we promote positive engagement through our programs.

We work together with our College community to shape the plan and review it each year.

If your child needs help with wellbeing or behaviour concerns while attending SCL, speak to Head Office or the Campus Supervisor, who will liaise with their weekday school as needed.

Together, we work to ensure every student feels supported and valued.
